Planting completed at Lal Lal Drain and Canadian Creek reserve.Brilliant sunshine accompanied 40 volunteers in planting 500 trees shrubs and grasses beside the bike trail. The southern site was covered over building rubble and gravel. See the image below for what the site looked like in 1997. Volunteers really worked hard to open up the ground for planting. The wonderful Ballarat Rotary Club hosted the end of planting sausage sizzle. Thank-you so much for Rotary’s support. The plants materials were supplied by the Victorian Governments ‘Green Links” program known locally as “Urban Ripple”.
