Forty four wonderful tree planters and Rotary sausage sizzlers turned out for the FoCC “Urban Ripple” tree planting in Sailors Guly beside Dozed Track in Woowookarung Regional Park today.Just over 600 native trees shrubs and grasses were planted beside Sailors Gully to add biodiversity to the creek side. Today the creek was quietly trickling along following the rain last night.(see image)Just 13 years ago, the replanting area was bare following the removal of the blue Gum plantation. That removal led to the establishment of Woowookarung Regional Park.The image below of is of Sailors Gully, east of Dozed Rd in 2013.
